This market resolves to YES or NO as per the 2026 State of AI Report's self grading of its prediction #4: A real-time generative video game becomes the year’s most-watched title on Twitch.

.

If they do not issue a ruling by EOY 2026, I will resolve by asking Anthropic's best model to evaluate based on their exact wording.

This wording is unfortunately ambiguous between "highest total viewer-hours across the entire year" (which favors old, established games) and "highest peak concurrent viewer count that any game had in the year" (which favors new games with a big hype train).

For example, checking twitch right now, the recently released Battlefield 6 has ~600k concurrent viewers, while esports mainstay Counter-Strike has 200k concurrent viewers. But Counter-Strike maintains that kind of number long-term while Battlefield likely will not.

Ultimately I strongly doubt either version of the claim will happen, but a giant hype moment for a new AI game would surprise me less than that game having the staying power of Counter-Strike.
