Info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nobel_laureates_in_Literature

As of 2023 the Nobel Prize in Literature has been awarded to 120 individuals. There have been four instances in which the award was given to two people (1904, 1917, 1966, 1974). Seventeen women have been awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature, the second highest number of any of the Nobel Prizes behind the Peace Prize.

As of 2023, there have been 29 English-speaking winners, followed by French with 16 laureates and German with 14 laureates. France is the country with the highest number of winners for the Nobel Prize in Literature.

Two people have refused to accept the prize, but both are still considered Nobel Laureates. Boris Pasternak was pressured to reject the 1958 award by the USSR, and Jean-Paul Sartre did not accept the Prize in 1964.

It has not been awarded seven times (1914, 1918, 1935, 1940–1943). There have been three years where the Nobel Prize in Literature was delayed by one year: the prizes for 1915, 1949 and 2018.
