When Nintendo releases their next generation console "Switch 2", there will obviously be some games available right at launch day.
Resolves YES for all games available for Switch 2 on it's release day. Games which were available on other consoles but not on Switch 1 also count.
Resolves NO for games which appear later or don't run on Switch 2 at its release or were already available on Switch 1.
For remakes/remastered games it might be hard to judge. To avoid a mess, let's exclude them. I'll resolve them NA immediately.
Retail or digital does not matter.
Close date might be extended.
Update 2025-05-10 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): The creator clarified how to interpret cases where games already available on Switch 1 receive additional content (e.g., new chapters) at the Switch 2 launch:
Such additional content is viewed similarly to a DLC or patch, rather than making the game a new game for the purposes of this market.
Therefore, the game (including the new content) would still be considered as 'already available on Switch 1' and resolve NO.
Update 2025-05-10 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): When determining if a game was 'already available on Switch 1', particularly for titles that had a prior version on Switch 1 and are releasing an updated or expanded version with Switch 2, the creator will consider the following factors:
How official sources (e.g., the game's website, developer) describe the Switch 1 version (e.g., as a 'demo') versus the Switch 2 version (e.g., as a 'launch').
A change in monetization between the versions, such as a transition from a free version on Switch 1 to a paid version for the Switch 2 release.
These aspects will help assess if the Switch 1 version constituted the game being fully 'available' or if the Switch 2 version is treated as the game's effective 'launch' for this market.
@Tulip Clarifying a bit: the release coming out with the Switch 2 has a couple new chapters, compared with the current Switch 1 version. (Switch 1 will get access to the new chapters on the same day Switch 2 comes out.) But it's still the same game, just with additional content added. I'm not sure, in terms of this market's resolution criteria, whether this means it resolves NO based on the "Resolves NO for games which [...] were already available on Switch 1" clause or whether this means it resolves N/A based on the "For remakes/remastered games [...] I'll resolve them NA immediately." clause; but I'm pretty confident it's going to be one of those, as opposed to YES.
@Robincvgr I don't know the game. This "additional content" sounds more like a DLC or patch than a new game.
@marktwse So the broad history is: in 2018, Deltarune Chapter 1 was released for free for Windows. In 2019, it was ported to Switch. In 2021, Deltarune Chapter 2 was released as an update for Windows and Switch, also free, continuing the story from where Chapter 1 left off. Now, in 2025, with the Switch 2 release, Deltarune Chapters 3 and 4 are coming out, this time not free but rather in a new paid edition. (With subsequent chapters—the planned final chapter-count is 7—being set for later release as free updates to the paid version.) So I'd guess the argument in favor of counting it as not-on-Switch-1 is based on viewing the free first-two-chapters edition as just a demo rather than a full release, and the paid first-four-chapters edition coming out with the Switch 2 launch as the first real release.
(But, yes, for myself I'm inclined to view it as more in the zone of paid DLC on an already-released game, analogous to various other forms of the "release an initial free episode, then release subsequent episodes as paid DLC after the free episode hooks people" pattern one sometimes sees games follow nowadays.)
@Tulip This change from free to paid is an interesting aspect.
Looking at the game website it calls the currently available thing "demo (chapter 1 & 2)" and speaks of a later launch:
Chapters 1-4 will be available at launch, with more planned as free updates!
@marktwse No, this isn't really DLC. This is a serialized game in chapters. The game so far has been free and marketed as the demo since it has been released. This is the paid version and the developer has said that it would be the only paid version, with later chapters released as updates at no cost when completed.

Video from Nintendo UK confirming that Fantasy Life will be releasing on Switch 1 October 10th.
"The tenth (no, not ninth) installment of the Mario Kart series will release in 2025, which will be Switch 2's second year on the market," claims Zippo. "The intention is to release the title sometime before the system's second holiday on the market. The title is being developed primarily by Nintendo EPD Production Group 9, with Bandai Namco Studios once again co-developing."
