New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said Thursday she won't — for the time being — remove embattled New York City Mayor Eric Adams from office, but will instead impose limits on his power.
Doubt. The standard playbook is to double-down and circle the wagons in these sort of situations. Going into any election if Hochul abandons her loyalists, they'll abandon her or flip on her. She knows this, so she'll fight or merely distance herself.
Trump's justice department has dropped the charges against Adams in their entirety. Where this ends up from here is anyone's guess.
