I think you’ve messed up your close date?

How would this resolve if Google decided to host their own Fediverse instance? E.g. Lemmy or Mastodon?

@Noit Unless I'm missing something (I'm new here lol) I think the closing date is fine... But if not please tell me why.

I highly doubt Google would do that, but I don't think it would count, unless they announced a big investment in the technology (something like making a Googledon fork with their staff working on it).

@kirby At the top right it’s saying the market closes on the 1st of October this year. If that’s what you intended that’s fine, there can be value in markets that end early, but it’s more common to run them until closer to the resolution date. Some people don’t like locking their mana up in markets they can’t cash out from.

@Noit I didn't know you can cash out before it ends. Let me think about it, because in my mind the idea was to predict it and not wait until there's some possible rumor about it. What you say makes sense, though... So I'll probably run it longer but not that close to resolution.

@kirby Yeah, you can sell (or invest more) as long as the market is open. Once it closes, you’re locked in until resolution.
