@jim it fits the criteria? Highly unlikely we'll ever get a tweet from sama saying "this is the one more thing".

@Frankas I mean if in a few more days we get something bigger and more exciting than this it would be very strong evidence that image input wasnt what he referred to with “best for last”

@Ziddletwix sure, but how much is this going to be extended for? "few more days" is a stretch even for today.

@Frankas I mean there’s no harm in waiting a while longer to see what was the most likely thing Sam was referring to? Maybe in a week or two the goodies will have stopped and this is the best option. Or maybe something else will come along that’s a better fit. Sam posts a lot on Twitter we’ll probably get evidence in either direction

@moozooh even if this was released, it's not the major release that Sam implied with "one-more thing". IFor example, it didn't even have live streaming

My guess: It's going to be the SWE agent scaffolding they mentioned in the o3-mini technical report

@JaundicedBaboon An “agent” mode (for SWE or more general) seems like it would be enough to meet the “saved the best for last” part and fits existing knowledge yeah.

best for last really shouldn’t be thinking tokens. But they will be released too

@mathvc the funniest thing is - not hiding them in the first place would've taken absolutely zero effort. They worked hard to conceal them and released a paper about it.
