Does not matter what the development/technology in question is. It must simply be the case that a major science publication of some renown and pedigree releases an article asserting that death is now merely optional for at least some humans. The phrasing can vary, from "humanity has beat death" to "humans have created functional immortality" or something of that sort. I'm not picky.
The number of humans in question doesn't matter, and I will not judge whether the remedy in question will live up to the hype or not. This will resolve YES if such a headline is published by a credible science publication.
