This new release tells the story of a protagonist who undergoes a metamorphosis as she struggles to express her individuality. As I point out in the description, maybe you can figure out what genre this is, because I certainly can't. I don't know of any other songs that use the Mixolydian mode like this.
As before, every byte in this file was initially generated with models. However, this is the first song that has significant post production - volume automation, HPF, EQ, stereo widening, etc. The new Gemini 2.0-Pro-0205 model was extremely important in the finishing touches on this work. Since Manifold users criticized the lyrics in previous songs, I spent a day developing and refining a prompt to make Claude 3.5 Sonnet self-inspect its programming and simulate an LLM that chooses less common words for lyrics.
One of the keys to this song was to use both Suno and Udio for their strengths and weaknesses. While Udio can make indistinguishable music, it struggles with creating good vocals from scratch. Suno is good at vocals but transformers create compression artifacts, so I concatenated some Suno vocals in front of the Udio audio, and then deleted the Suno track after extension.
It required 3070 song and extension generations and cost about $55. Additional details are provided in the link.
