I started using GitHub Copilot three years ago, switched to ChatGPT two years ago, tried Claude for a bit, and now using Cursor. I love how Cursor automatically includes all active files as context. It made me realise how much time I was loosing copying files back and forth. I wonder if I’ll still be using cursor by end of the year. Right now I am paying Cursor 20$ per month and reach the limit on fast responses in ~1-2 weeks and mainly rely on the unlimited slow responses.

I imagine that If ChatGPT could access my files and match all my favorite Cursor’s features, then I will probably stop using cursor to save money. Or if a cheaper tool with the same features, hits the market with good reviews, I’d consider switching. I won’t bet on this market to avoid it influencing my decision (but I think I would have bet Yes).
