@Mqrius Not yet. The market is about the rover, not the lander. The rover did not touch the moon surface yet.
@Mqrius Yeah, it “landed”, which is probably the main word that suggests it doesn’t need to actually be functional. Either way would be reasonable
fwiw we shouldn't have to wait long.
The rover Pragyan will emerge from the lander three-and-a-half hours after lander Vikram touched down on the lunar surface near the Moon's South Pole.
The rover Pragyan will first extend its solar arrays and roll out with a wire connected to the lander Vikram. The wire will be snapped once the rover is stable on the lunar surface. It will then start its scientific mission.
@Mqrius A fair interpretation, but then why name the market "Chandrayaan 3 to successfully land a rover" instead of "Chandrayaan 3 lands on the Moon?". But that's not very imporant: the probability of deploying the rover is very high, especially compared to the probability of successful touchdown of the lander, and, as you said, we'll know soon.
@Mqrius Hedge against this market crashing due to a malfunctioning rover deployment here https://manifold.markets/ianminds/will-the-3-chandrayaan3-markets-res ;-)
