Resolves to the number of unique riders who lead the general classification and wear the pink jersey during the Giro d'Italia. For the purposes of this market, riders have to actually wear the jersey during the race, not simply be awarded with it; for example, if rider A takes the lead in the general classification at the end of a stage, but then does not start the next stage, they will not be counted towards this market.
Current count: 2 (Mads Pedersen, Primoz Roglic)
leaning towards just 2: Pedersen keeps it until stage 7, but then Roglic cannot hide anymore on the uphill finish. He takes it back then and it will be difficult giving it up on stage 8 to a breakaway because Trek will control to win again with Pedersen. Stages 9 (gravel) and 10 (ITT), the GC guys cannot hide, they have to defend their relative times. Stages 11-15 is again for Trek or sprinter teams to control, and then we are at week 3.
Stage 11 is a tall order for Trek to control and Pedersen to make it on the climbs, but this could be whole grand tour without stages for the breakaway...
@egroj It's a reasonable guess to think 2, but the Giro almost always finds a way! Last year was a mega exception. I'll buy some No on 2 I guess just for fun.
