The latest PhilosophyTube video on Ethical AI has a bit about model interpretability, black boxes and giving counterfactual explanations from hiring applications.

Intuitively, I got the vibe from the video that they were frustrated at receiving neither funding, nor feedback from OpenPhil.

It only takes one person feeling aggrieved at not receiving funding and not receiving feedback to start bad blood.

I reckon it's plausible. 30%
