It is widely understood that law enforcement in the U.S. are allowed to lie about available evidence with witnesses or suspects during interviews/interrogations. Will law enforcement be accused of using AI generated evidence (audio, video, images, text) when interviewing witnesses/suspects? An example of reasons may be to garner a confession or cooperation.

Edit: To clarify: the accusation must be credible. I would consider a major news outlet (AP, NYT, WSJ, etc.) reporting on a specific accusation of a specific department or unit. Not someone making unfounded accusations on Twitter/X.

Before 2026 means ends on Dec 31 2025.

Accused or proven guilty of?

@3721126 good question. Specifically accused of. Might take a whole separate question if makes it to the courts.

@MethodTarantula to clarify further. The spirit of the question is perhaps a 'credible accusation'. I'm sure everyone will call 'thats AI'. But this will resolve YES if the accusations are credible.
