I find myself once again with a lot of mana locked away and in need of a large loan, however much you are comfortable offering. For the record, I'll be getting around M15000 from markets resolving within this month even in the worst case scenario, so I'll be able to return at least that much with no trouble.

@Fion, just asking, how do you enforce the repayments? Essentially, is there a way to ensure that people actually pay back?

 I don't really have any way to enforce it. Once or twice I have made small loans and haven't been paid back. Part of the interest rate is to protect me from the risk of this happening from time to time. 

But also, my eligibility criteria are partly a proxy for "this person cares about their reputation on manifold". E.g. I wouldn't make a loan to a brand new user or somebody who makes lots of stupid bets and loses all their mana. If somebody failed to pay me back I'd put a modest amount of effort into making others aware, so that they take an appropriate reputational hit for their transgression. 

I don't know if mods have a policy on this sort of thing. I assume they wouldn't get involved. But maybe I'd make them aware just in case they have any useful advice. 

But mostly it's just just optimism and goodwill. :) 

I'm offering loans to trustworthy users who need a bit of short-term cash. Comment here to apply for a loan and I'll award you one as a bounty. At or before the end of the loan term, you pay me back by direct payment including interest.

In other words, take 1000 now and give me back 1050 in a month. Happy to discuss terms, such as larger or smaller loan or longer durations. For smaller loans I might increase the interest rate a bit: There's a certain amount of admin in keeping track of lots of small loans.

I may refuse you a loan for any reason, even if you meet the eligibility criteria. I may consider giving you a loan with a higher interest rate if you do not meet the eligibility criteria.
