By "broadly available", I roughly mean that at least 1 in 10 Americans could order something by drone if they had enough money. The cost of the delivery doesn't matter for the purposes of the question.

I think Amazon drone delivery will take a few more years before it’s truly mainstream across the US. Right now, they’re testing in small areas, but scaling up means solving tons of issues, FAA regulations, weather challenges, and even neighborhood acceptance (imagine drones buzzing around while you’re having a BBQ!). Personally, I’d love it for last-minute items, but I also wonder how it’ll affect things like returns. If you’ve ever dealt with the process, you know Amazon’s return policy can be tricky sometimes (see https://amazon.pissedconsumer.com/return-policy.html). Until those details are smooth, I think we’ll keep waiting.
