  • Musk leaves the position without being impeached

  • The department is never formally established

  • Impeachment of cabinet officials requires specific allegations of "treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors" as per the Constitution

  • Currently there are no public allegations of impeachable offenses related to Musk's proposed role
