The International Tourist Tax or Departure Tax of 1000 yen began on 7th January 2019. It is paid to airlines (and cruise lines, etc.) at the time that tickets are purchased.
If this tax is increased to a number greater than 1000 yen at some point before the end of 2026 in Japan time, this market will resolve YES. Otherwise it will resolve NO.
