Will something resembling the Wyden-Smith agreement on Tax Reform become law in the 118th Congress?

This seems like an incredibly good agreement, and it's supported by the key chairs in both houses/parties.

Resolves based on my judgment, as anyone who pays attention to Congress knows that agreements frequently morph into entirely unrelated zombie legislation. I will probably be fairly lenient, but it should at least substantively address one of the 5 problems listed and come as a result of this agreement.

  • Supports working families with an enhanced Child Tax Credit

  • Expands innovation and competitiveness with pro-growth economic policies like R&D expensing

  • Builds up Main Street by cutting red tape and rebuilds communities struck by disasters with tax relief

  • Enhances the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit

  • Eliminates fraud and waste by ending the Employee Retention Tax Credit program
