Because of increasing tensions with Russia and the war in Ukraine, many european contries are discussing reviving compulsory military service.
Currently AFAIK, these countries in Europe practice conscription: Austria, Estonia, Denmark (extended to women in March 2024), Finland, Greece, Latvia (reinstated in 2023), Lithuania (reinstated in 2015), Norway, Sweden (reinstated in 2018), Switzerland and Ukraine.
Please feel free to add your answers here, it should be a country that's in Europe and currently does not have compulsory military service.
